With the warmer weather upon us, many of our residents are heading to our local mountains to enjoy the trail system. However, criminals often target these locations since the victims will be away from their vehicles for an extended period of time.

Our station wants to encourage hikers to take proactive measures to help prevent vehicle burglaries. Please remember to:

• Lock your vehicle.
• Hide your belongings.
• Park in busy areas.
• Do not leave valuables in your car.
• Set an alarm.
• If you see something suspicious, call our station at 818-248-3464. If it is an emergency, dial 911.

Together, we can help prevent crime and bring criminals to justice. We will be actively patrolling these areas with our local area partners to help deter theft.
