SUSPECT(S): Guillermo Carillo Velazquez- Age 45, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
VICTIM(S): 54-year-old Male Adult
41-year-old Female Adult
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 8:21 P.M., deputies responded to the 8000 block of Etiwanda Ave reference a traffic collision. The reporting party advised an involved vehicle left the scene.
Deputies located a motorcycle down with both the driver and passenger suffering from major injuries. Witnesses provided deputies with a description of the suspect and his vehicle. Deputies and K-9 Keva located the suspect vehicle in an apartment complex with front end-damage consistent with being involved in the accident.
The suspect was positively identified as Guillermo Carrillo Velazquez, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga. Deputies attempted to contact Carillo Velazquez at his residence but were unsuccessful. A warrant was issued for Carillo Velazquez’s arrest.
On Monday, May 13, 2024, Carrilo Velazquez turned himself in at the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department and was booked into custody at the West Valley Detention Center. He is charged with CVC 20001 – Felony Hit and Run. Carrillo Velazquez’s bail is set at $150,000 and his court date is scheduled for May 15, 2024, at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.
