INCIDENT: PC 246.3 – Negligent Discharge of a Firearm
LOCATION: 13100 block of Central Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Jose Alberto Flores Camilla, 50-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday evening, May 11, 2024, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report of a subject firing a gun into the air around the 13100 block of Central Road in the town of Apple Valley. The caller reported hearing an argument and then seeing the subject fire one shot from the firearm.
Deputies were dispatched to the area and Deputy Montanez located a subject walking on Central Road. The subject was detained and identified as Jose Alberto Flores Camilla. The investigation revealed Flores Camilla had been in a vehicle with his wife when an argument ensued. Flores Camilla exited the vehicle as the couple was arguing and began walking. While walking, Flores Camilla removed a handgun from his waistband and fired one shot into the air.
Jose Alberto Flores Camilla was arrested for negligent discharge of a firearm and was booked into High Desert Detention Center. He was later released with a future date to appear in court.
