INCIDENT: P.C. 459- Burglary, P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and P.C. 273A(A) Child Endangerment
LOCATION: 15200 Block of Sunny Point Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Keveon Clark, 18-year-old Resident of Victorville
15-year-old Juvenile Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 3:55 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police station were dispatched to the 15200 block of Sunny Point Street for a several reports of unknown subjects attempting to break into vehicles.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description. Deputies initiated a traffic stop but the driver fled and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the vehicle drove at a high rate of speed and disregarded traffic signals. The vehicle crashed into a light pole causing the vehicle to become disabled at the intersection of Kimberly and Amargosa.
Driver Keveon Clark and a 15-year-old juvenile exited the vehicle, leading deputies on a foot pursuit. Both Clark and the juvenile were apprehended and taken into custody by deputies. The 2020 Toyota Camry which was driven by Clark was reported stolen out of the city of Barstow two days prior.
Keveon Clark was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 459- Burglary, P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and P.C. 273A(A) Child Endangerment. The juvenile was arrested and booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center.
