* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Edgecombe, Franklin, Halifax, Nash, Warren and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 744 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - They heaviest rain is falling over Nash and Wilson Counties, moving northeast. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions:
Slow down and use caution while driving to avoid hydroplaning. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
