Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 05-14-2024 at 4:38 P.m.his deputies responded to a two car personal injury traffic crash on White Temple south of Dutch Settlement. Lawton resident Harvey Lee Terry, aged 55 years, was traveling northbound on White Temple Rd when he crossed the centerline striking a southbound vehicle driven by Elkhart resident Gage Alexander Eby, aged 27 years.  Terry was trapped in his truck. First responders extricated Terry from his vehicle and transported him to Bronson Kalamazoo for non-life-threatening injuries. Medics treated Eby on scene for his injuries. Speed appears to be a factor in this crash.  Parties were wearing seatbelts.  Alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash. The incident remains under investigation.
