West Springfield’s Memorial Day Events 2024
On a day of remembrance we encourage everyone to participate in events surrounding Memorial Day. This is an opportunity where the Town of West Springfield invites you to honor our fallen. Grave Flagging:
Flagging of the Graves will take place on May 25th at St. Thomas Cemetery located at 420 Kings Hwy, West Springfield, MA 01089. Flagging begins at 9:00am where Volunteers are welcomed to join and flag over 2,200 graves.

Bridge Ceremonies:
The Bridge Ceremony will be held at the Vietnam Veterans Bridge, West Springfield (West Springfield Crossing into Agawam Side off of Front Street). Gathering will begin at 6:45am and the Ceremony will start at 7:00am.

Memorial Day Ceremony:
You are invited to the Town Hall located at 26 Central Street, West Springfield, MA 01089 where our Memorial Day Ceremony. This will take place this year on May 27th. The service will begin promptly at 10:00am with Master of Ceremonies retired Major Mustafa Thompson, U.S. Army; the Presentation of Colors by the Massachusetts

National Guard, West Springfield Police and Fire Department Honor Guards. Following their presentation we will hear remarks from Mayor William Reichelt, and Representative Mike Finn.
