Haledon Police Department Awarded Prestigious FBI-LEEDA Command Staff Trilogy Award
Haledon, New Jersey – Mayor Michael Johnson, Council President Mohammad Ramadan, the Haledon Municipal Council, and the Haledon Police Department proudly announce a significant achievement in the pursuit of law enforcement excellence. The Haledon Police Department is thrilled to share that all four distinguished Command Staff members of the Office of Police Administration, including Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele, Deputy Chief of Police George Guzman, Jr., Lieutenant Michael Susen, and Lieutenant Timothy Lindberg, have successfully completed the esteemed FBI Law Enforcement Executive
Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Supervision Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and Executive Leadership Institute. This outstanding accomplishment has earned each of them the revered FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award.
At the Mayor and Council Meeting held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, FBI-LEEDA formally acknowledged the Haledon Police Department with the prestigious FBI-LEEDA Agency Trilogy Award in recognition of the department's commitment to completing the cutting-edge leadership development program designed to enhance law enforcement leadership on a global scale.
The Haledon Police Department's entire Command Staff participated in an engaging three-part leadership
series that delves into crucial topics such as diversity and inclusion, bias, public trust, transformational leadership, social and emotional intelligence, and more. The Agency Trilogy Award empowers law enforcement agencies worldwide with the essential skills to advance their departments and positively impact the communities they serve.
Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele of the Haledon Police Department expressed, "We are honored to have earned the Agency Trilogy Award from FBI-LEEDA and have gained invaluable leadership skills through the training program. Our department is eager to apply this knowledge to enhance our daily service within the Haledon community."
Jacques S. Battiste, Executive Director of FBI-LEEDA, commended the dedication of the Haledon Police Department in earning the Agency Trilogy Award, stating, "By completing this training, the Haledon Borough command staff has mastered the skills necessary to be successful law enforcement leaders and enhance their service to the community. We are delighted to present this award to the department's command staff and the residents of Haledon."
The FBI-LEEDA Agency Trilogy Award has recognized 133 law enforcement organizations nationwide for their
excellence in leadership and successful completion of FBI-LEEDA's flagship courses. Notably, the Haledon Police Department is only the 8th police department in the State of New Jersey to achieve this prestigious milestone.
