Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who stole a bicycle from the victim’s pickup truck on May 12, 2024.
The theft incident occurred at approximately 12:23 a.m. in the 200 block of New York Avenue. The suspect, captured on surveillance video, entered the gate of a residence on that block, took a green mountain bike from the truck’s bed, and left walking westbound on New York Avenue.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
