Flood Advisory until 01:15PM

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Coke, Concho, Runnels and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 115 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1010 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ballinger, Miles, Rowena, Lowake, Tennyson, Orient, Ballinger Lake, Harriet, Us-83 Near The Concho-Runnels County Line, The Intersection Of Us-83 And Ranch Road 1929 and The Intersection Of Highway 208 And Ranch Road 2662. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... FM 1692 crossing Concho River, FM 1692 crossing The Draw, FM 1692 crossing Sales Branch, Poverty Canyon crossing Mule Creek, Rawlins crossing, Saynor crossing Mule Creek, Juniper crossing Juniper Creek, Juniper Road crossing just east of Highway 277, Mule Creek Road crossing Mule Creek and CR 116 crossing Pony Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
