Evacuation Drill Clover Springs Community Sunday May 19th
The Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management, in collaboration with the Cloverdale Police Department, is announcing a comprehensive emergency evacuation exercise for the residents of the Dell Webb Community (Clover Springs). The drill is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 19th, kicking off at 9:00 AM, and is expected to conclude by 11:00 AM.
This vital preparedness exercise is designed to simulate a large-scale evacuation, enhancing readiness in the case of an actual emergency. Residents will notice officers navigating through the Dell Webb community amid the sound of Hi-Lo sirens, marking the start of the evacuation drill. It is crucial for community members to understand that these sirens do not signify an actual threat but serve as a critical part of the training exercise.
Individuals who have elected to partake in this exercise and have completed the necessary registration will receive an evacuation alert via a text message prompt. This alert will provide further instructions on how to proceed during the drill.
The locations participating in this exercise are the neighborhoods of Palamino Lake, Highland Ranch, and Clover Springs. Residents of these areas who have yet to sign up for this important community safety event are encouraged to register promptly. Registration can be completed online by visiting the following link:
