Wilmington Police issue Gold Alert for missing person: 
The Wilmington Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for 14-year-old Sadie Word, and is asking the public for assistance.
Sadie Word is 14 years old and was last seen on May 16 in the 1800 block of Prospect Road. She is described as a Black female, 5’2”, weighing approximately 100 pounds, with curly hair. She was last seen wearing blue/green leggings, a gray hoodie, and off-white crocs and was carrying a red and blue backpack.
Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sadie Word to please contact the Wilmington Police Department at 302-654-5151.
