ACCUSED: Jovane Jordan, Age 25, Long Branch, NJ and Michael White, Age 43, Long Branch, NJ
 
NARRATIVE:
 
On May 9, 2024 Deal officers arrested and charged two Long Branch residents with several charges including burglary, theft, trespassing, receiving stolen property and fencing.  This was a result of an ongoing investigation conducted by multiple members of our agency into construction site thefts. Deal officers also executed several search warrants at various locations yielding stolen property and proceeds from other crimes committed in various jurisdictions. The accused were arrested following a motor vehicle stop in Ocean Township and transported to Deal Police Headquarters for processing.
 
Jovane Jordan was charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools and fencing.  Michael White was charged with receiving stolen property and fencing. Following processing, Jordan was committed to Monmouth County Correctional Institution and White was released on a summons pending a court date. 
 
We would like to thank the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Township of Ocean Police Department, Long Branch Police Department, Oceanport Police Department and Eatontown Police Department for their assistance in this investigation and arrest.
 
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
