Spring Arts and Music Festival is this weekend; SW Park expansion closure update
Spring Arts and Music Festival is May 19
The 2024 Hoboken Spring Arts and Music Festival is this Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival will take place on Washington Street between Observer Highway and Seventh Street.
Over 300 artists, vendors, and more will be featured, along with activities for children. There will also be two stages of live musical performances located on Washington Street between Newark Street and Observer Highway and on Washington Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street.
The Office of Emergency Mangement has placed No Parking signs in and around the festival area. Please adhere to all no parking signs. Many are in place for public safety purposes.
The following road closures will begin at 5 a.m.:
- Washington Street will be closed in both directions between Observer Highway and Eighth Street
- All east/west bound streets between Observer Highway and Seventh Street will be closed from Bloomfield Street to Hudson Street.
Roads will reopen after clean-up is complete, which is anticipated to be by 9 p.m.
New Jersey Transit buses will be detoured onto Hudson and Bloomfield Streets. Anyone joining for the festival is strongly encouraged to take mass transit versus driving.
Expanded Southwest Resiliency Park to close for construction on May 27
The City has worked with the contractor to delay the closure of the expanded Southwest Resiliency Park. The pop-up park will now close at the end of day Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day). Construction to build the expansion of the resiliency park will begin shortly afterwards.
