The Simi Valley Police Department would like to inform the community regarding upcoming events at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Over the next few weeks, there will be military and other aircraft flyovers and gun salutes by the Naval Base from Ventura County. Below is the following schedule:
- Wednesday, May 22; late afternoon – 3 pass flyover by WWII airplanes (this is a practice run for a future event)
- Monday, May 27: mid-morning – flyover by the Tiger Squadron for Memorial Day
- Wednesday, June 5, around 4:15-4:30 pm – volley salute (3 rounds of 3 shots each; a total of 9 shots) by Naval Base Ventura County in honor of the 20th anniversary of President Reagan’s passing
- Thursday, June 6, between 10 and 10:30 am: The WWII airplanes will perform the same three–pass flyover and volley salute as the day before. This is in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
