New drop off location for shoe drive 
A third drop-off location has been added to the Foster Friends shoe drive.
New, closed-toe shoes for children in foster care in Collin County may be dropped off at Fairview Town Hall, 372 Town Place, or at either Fairview Fire Station. Station 1 is located at 510 S. State Highway 5, and Station 2 is located at 1200 Stacy Road.
The Town of Fairview is helping Foster Friends, a nonprofit group created to provide ordinary comforts for children in foster care in Collin County, hold its annual shoe drive.
In 2023, 500 children received shoes from Foster Friends. The 2024 goal is to help 600 foster children prepare for the coming school year with new shoes.
The shoe drive will end July 8.
