Construction to begin on Southwest Resiliency Park expansion
Residents are reminded that construction on the expansion of the Southwest Resiliency Park will begin on Tuesday, May 28. The pop-up park will close on Monday, May 27 at dusk and remain closed throughout the duration of the project.
Crews will begin to mobilize equipment and dismantle existing structures next week. No road closures are expected at this time, but Hoboken Police Officers will be on hand to mitigate traffic impacts.
Once construction is complete, the park will include a permanent play structure, eating area, basketball court, and six pickleball courts. The additional 1 acre will also help mitigate area flooding with the ability to withold approximately 260-thousand gallons of storm water through above and below infrastructure.
