* At 519 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 6 miles south of Cannon Falls, or 14 miles east of Northfield, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near... Red Wing and Welch around 535 PM CDT. Ellsworth around 555 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Vasa, Red Wing Airport, Wastedo, Diamond Bluff, Miesville, Hader, Esdaile, and Hager City. This includes U.S. Highway 61 between mile markers 87 and 104.
