Wilmington Police arrest Philadelphia man on gun charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested a Philadelphia man on gun charges.
On May 17, at approximately 11:42 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation in the 400 block of Lombard Street. Officers made contact with the driver – 27-year-old Tommy Pelzer of Philadelphia. Following a brief investigation, Pelzer was found to be wearing ballistic armor, and in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. Pelzer was taken into custody without incident.
Pelzer has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
- Wearing Body Armor During the Commission of a Felony
