INCIDENT TYPE: End of school year release

DETAILS: In cooperation with AISD, Amarillo Police will be providing over 80 police personnel to assist with end of school year release on Friday. Our officers will be there in a community caretaking function. They will assist with traffic and send the students off with congratulations on a job well done. We want to reassure the community, our presence at each of the schools in the district is to encourage the students and ensure a safe last day of school. We want to thank all the teachers, Principals, and professional staff at each school for all their hard work this year and every year. We wish each student a wonderful summer!
