Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Commercial Robbery Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who robbed and assaulted a bakery employee on May 13, 2024
The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. at Nora’s Café, Bakery & Gelateria in the 90 block of Ferry Street. After the suspect walked in and ordered coffee, he walked behind the counter and assaulted the worker as she was preparing the coffee. He punched her, causing her to fall to the ground where he stomped her several times. The suspect took the victim’s backpack and iPhone and fled the bakery in a red Ford pickup truck traveling east on Ferry Street.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a gray Levi hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and blue sneakers.
