Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé seeks the public’s assistance in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. 
 
At approximately 4:45 a.m., Police responded to the 100 block of Jefferson Street on a call of a robbery. A man was walking towards Ferry Street when three males approached him and began striking him in the face with closed fists. The victim fell to the ground and was then kicked and stomped by the suspects, who took his personal belongings before fleeing on foot. The suspects headed southbound on Jefferson Street and turned left onto Lafayette Street.
 
Detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect No. 1 as a White Hispanic male, wearing a North Face jacket, black pants, and black and white sneakers. Suspect No. 2 is described as a Black male, wearing a hooded sweatshirt bearing a Kappa logo, black pants, and black and white sneakers. Suspect No. 3 is described as a Black male wearing all-black clothing.  
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of either of these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
