ONGOING ROADWAY CLOSURES & POWER OUTAGES DUE TO SEVERE STORM - Avoid Freemansburg Avenue & Oakland Road Bethlehem Twp.
There continue to be Road Closures and Power Outages effecting approximately 2500 residence in the township.  Large trees and LIVE Power Lines down have forced Roadway Closures on Freemansburg Avenue between Washington Street/Miller Heights and Farmersville Road, and Oakland Road between Northampton Community College and Easton Avnue.  There are multiple areas throughout the region without power due to down trees and power lines.  PPL is working as quickly as they can to get to each effected area to make repairs.  Bethlehem Township Public Works, Police & Fire Departments are working closely with PPL to try and open roadways and restore power as quickly as possible.  To view the PPL Power Outage Map: https://omap.prod.pplweb.com/OMAP
