INCIDENT: H&S 11364(A)- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, P.C. 211- Robbery, P.C. 422(A)- Threaten to Commit a Crime, P.C. 459-Burglary
LOCATION: Mojave Drive/Amargosa Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Alberto Trevino, 30-year-old Resident of Adelanto
Carlos Alfonso Cervantes, 31-year-old Resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at approximately 12:10 p.m., while on patrol, Deputy Valencia was flagged down by a clerk in the 15200 block of Mojave Drive for a robbery that had just occurred at Beyond Market.
The victim/clerk approached the vehicle that the suspect, who was later identified as Alberto Trevino was in to retrieve the stolen beer. Trevino exited his vehicle and threatened to shoot the victim. The victim flagged down Deputy Valencia who was at the intersection of Amargosa Road and Mojave Drive. Deputy Valencia contacted Trevino, who was in the passenger seat, and four other adults inside of the vehicle as it was leaving the business parking lot.
The vehicle’s register owner consented to a vehicle search. A black revolver replica was recovered. Carlos Alfonso Cervantes, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be on probation and was detained for drug paraphernalia.
Alberto Trevino was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 211- Robbery, P.C. 422(A)- Threaten to Commit a Crime, and P.C. 459-Burglary. Carlos Alfonso Cervantes was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for H&S 11364(A)- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
