Currently, there is a phone scam where residents are receiving phone calls and are told they have a warrant for their arrest due to failure to show for jury duty. THIS IS A SCAM. Porter County does not contact people this way.
If you receive one of these calls, DO NOT do what they are asking. DO NOT go to the bank, DO NOT give them money, DO NOT give out any information. If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at 219-762-4125.
