Narrative:
The Camarillo Police Department is conducting an investigation into an Indecent Exposure that occurred in Camarillo on Thursday morning.

On 5/23/2024, at approximately 7:50 AM, two female juvenile students were walking north on the east sidewalk of Lantana Street south of Coe Street on their way to school.  They noticed a gray sedan parked on the east curb of Lantana Street facing north.  As the students passed the vehicle, they saw male subject sitting in the driver’s seat masturbating.  The students did not see the male’s face and were unable to provide any other description of the male subject or his vehicle.

The male in the car did not make any attempt to talk to or engage with the girls.  The girls ran away from the car and continued to school.  The girls immediately notified school officials, who called the Camarillo Police Department.

The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call Senior Deputy Ryan Shoden at the Camarillo Police Department at 805-279-0490.

Parents and children are always encouraged to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings and if they see any suspicious behavior or activity, they should immediately call 911.
