Flood Advisory until 12:15PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, City of Covington and Craig and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 912 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Allen Creek, Barbours Creek, Back Creek, Broad Run, Boulder Run, Big Run, Boone Creek, Big Creek, Bens Run, Blue Spring Run, Buggy Branch, Beech Run and Beckner Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Alleghany...
