The Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Service begins 10:30 am Monday. There is no trash pickup Monday.
The Parade will begin at Ardmore Road and Sheridan Avenue and conclude at the War Memorial on East Franklin Turnpike for a Remembrance Ceremony featuring the laying of wreaths and a dedication to the unveiling of our 2024 Hometown Hero banners.
Spectators are encouraged to gather along the parade route in support of this time-honored tradition when families, neighbors and friends come together to pay tribute to those soldiers who gave the profound sacrifice of their life for the ideals of their country and the pursuit of freedom.
The parade will feature the V.F.W., Scouts, HHKPD, Mayor and Council, HHK Ambulance Corps, HHKFD, LEMC, Chamber of Commerce, Board of Education, Clergy, CERT, local groups, and members of the NHRHS Band.
Following the ceremony, we encourage our residents to view the banners hung throughout the business district.
In the event of any weather related changes a message will be sent out by Monday at 8 am.
Please come out to honor the fallen.
As a reminder there is no trash pickup on Monday only.
