UPDATE: Missing and endangered 59-year-old Elizabeth "Betty" Romero located safe and unharmed

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating missing and endangered 59-year-old Elizabeth “Betty” Romero.
She was last seen around 8 a.m., today, May 24, 2024, at the Sea Crest Surf & Racquet Club located near Coligny on Hilton Head Island’s south end.
Romero is described as 5’ tall, 110 lbs., with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing blue shorts with a blue shirt.
Romero is vacationing from Virginia and there is concern for her safety and wellbeing.
