Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé seeks the public’s assistance in identifying the below-pictured suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

A man drove his vehicle to a business in the 300 block of Clinton Place to make a delivery. When the victim exited his vehicle and entered the business, three suspects broke into the vehicle, setting off its alarm. The suspects then began removing boxes from the victim’s vehicle. When the victim approached them, one suspect struck him with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground. The suspects then repeatedly kicked him before fleeing in a 2011 Kia Sorrento, which has since been recovered by Police. 

Detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect 1 as a light-skinned male, wearing blue sweat pants, a blue and gray hooded sweater, black, blue, and white sneakers, a black mask, and a black hat. 

Suspect 2 is described as a Black male, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, dark blue jeans, white and black shoes, and a black mask.

Suspect 3 is described as a Black male, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, light blue jeans, and black, gray, and white sneakers.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
