* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... The City of Covington in west central Virginia... Alleghany County in west central Virginia... The City of Buena Vista in west central Virginia... Northeastern Craig County in southwestern Virginia... The City of Lexington in west central Virginia... Rockbridge County in west central Virginia... Bath County in west central Virginia... Northern Bedford County in south central Virginia... Botetourt County in west central Virginia... Amherst County in central Virginia... Southeastern Greenbrier County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 617 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Beartown State Park to near Jordan Mines to near Catawba, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
