INCIDENT: VC 20002: NON-INJURY HIT AND RUN
LOCATION: 11500 Block of Azalia, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Mike Angel Gallego, 33-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:28pm, while deputies and fire personnel were at a residence for a medical aid call, Mike Gallego attempted to drive through emergency vehicles with emergency lights flashing, blocking AMR as they were leaving to transport a subject to the hospital. Gallego was told to move his vehicle so AMR could leave. As Gallego reversed, he struck the front of a parked fire engine. Gallego drove away without stopping, but deputies caught up to him at Prairie Road and Blue Sage Road in Adelanto. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and Gallego was arrested without further incident.
Mike Angel Gallego was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for non-injury hit and run.
