Sewer Line Smoke Testing on the Northwest side of the City - Bay Blvd, Old Post Rd. and Adjacent streets 
A friendly reminder, our Utilities Department will be conducting smoke testing this week, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The testing area will include the following roads: Old Post Road Richey Drive, Wilkins Street, Quist Drive, Berlin Drive, Tabor Street, Bluepoint Drive, Miles Blvd., Hayward Lane, Pasco Way, Cormel Street, Papaya Street, Treadway Drive, Bayview Street. Cotee Avenue, and Bridge Street.
Smoke testing is a safe, efficient, and cost-effective method used to look for places where breaks and cracks may be in the sewer system. This testing can also reveal areas around a home or building where improper connections to the sewer system are made as well as identify possible sources of sewer odors.
Smoke may come out of vents located on roofs. This is a normal process that indicates the home's sewer system works correctly.
