Advisory
On 05/27/24 at approximately 8:27pm, Janesville Police responded to a disorderly conduct incident occurring in the 1200 blk of N. Parker Dr. On arrival the suspect Tyler Geffers had already left the scene. Officers located a 4-5 year old chihuahua inside the victims residence suffering from significant trauma. An officer immediately took the dog named “Tito” to the emergency vet where he died from his injuries.
Officers learned Geffers had been involved in an armed incident in Illinois prior to coming to Janesville. He was at the residence and upset. He picked the dog up and threw it against the wall causing the injuries.
Geffers was taken into custody in Beloit, WI by Beloit PD and Janesville PD. He was held at the Rock County Jail for the felony charge.
