Wilmington Police have arrested a man on assault charges.
On May 23, at approximately 12:59 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the area of East 9th and Kirkwood Streets, when they observed a male suspect assaulting another man. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, who fled on foot.Following a brief foot pursuit, 35-year-old Stefine Brown was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (First Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $61,000 cash-only bail.
