Round 6 of citywide fire hydrant inventory and inspection begins June 3, 2024

Hydromax has completed the fifth round of hydrant inventory and inspection and begins Round 6 on June 3, 2024.

The Round 6 work area will focus on three separate areas in the City. The first area will primarily focus on the Tuskawilla Crossings area east of Tuskawilla Road and south of SR-434,  and east to SR 417.

Area 2 will encompass the Chealsea Woods area north of Winter Springs Boulevard east of SR 417 and include the Barrington Estates and Barclay Reserve neighborhoods.

Area 3 work will occur in the Winter Springs Town Center and surrounding neighborhoods such as Winter Springs Village and The Blake apartments.

Signs notifying residents of the work are being placed at critical points in the area, and work is expected to be completed within the next couple of weeks.

As part of the process, crews will open hydrants to check flow rates and pressure to ensure each hydrant is cataloged correctly.

Work will be performed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Discoloration Water Notice:

Customers are advised to avoid washing clothes during this process. If they see discolored water at their tap, they should allow their cold-water faucet to run for several minutes or until the discoloration clears.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the City of Winter Springs Utilities Emergency Hotline at (407) 327-2669
