Investigation - 200 block of West 26th Street:
Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 6:09 p.m. Wednesday inside of a residence in the 200 block of West 26th Street.
Police located a 16-year-old female gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition. At this time, this incident appears to have been accidental in nature and the firearm was recovered at the scene.
This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
