North Brunswick Police with an update on recent bear sighting-
The North Brunswick Police Department would like to update you on today's bear sightings.
This morning, a caller reported a bear sighting in the area of Route One south near Adams Lane. The North Brunswick Police Department responded, located the bear, and maintained a visual on it for some time before it ran off into a wooded area. The New Jersey Department of Fish & Wildlife was contacted, and advised that this does not meet their requirement for a response. They advised us to leave the bear alone, and it will find is way back to its normal living area. The bear has just recently been seen again in the same area. There have not been any reports of it being aggresive. The advice we are receiving is to leave it alone, remove any access to food sources, and keep doors closed.
