On May 30th, 2024, detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Los Angeles resident suspected of committing a commercial burglary in the City of Thousand Oaks, County of Ventura. On May 20th, 2024, at approximately 02:48 am, several suspects forced entry into a commercial business in the City of Thousand Oaks. The suspects were able to seize US currency and other miscellaneous items. Detectives from the East County Sheriff’s Station promptly investigated the incident and identified one of the suspects as Troijay Sanders, a resident of the City of Los Angeles. On May 30th, 2024, detectives located and arrested Sanders in the City of Santa Ana. Subsequently, detectives served a search warrant at Sanders’ residence in Los Angeles and located evidence further linking his involvement in the commercial burglary. Sanders was booked into the Ventura County East Valley Jail Facility on the felony charge of Penal Code 459(a) / Commercial Burglary. Sanders’ bail amount was set at $60,000 and is scheduled for a pending arraignment in Ventura County Superior Court. Additional arrests are anticipated as this investigation is still on-going.
