AVOID Route 4 East and West due to Traffic Accident 
**UPDATE** PSE&G Electric and Bergen County OEM are on scene to restore the utilities in the area. It is possible that short power outages are possible as work is completed. PSE&G has estimated that work will be complete at approximately 11:00 pm. Route 4 West is detoured onto River Road. Route 4 East is detoured onto Hackensack Avenue.
The Bergen County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating a traffic accident that occurred on Route 4 West and River Road. The crash caused a utility pole and wires to come down across the roadway. Route 4 West is closed completely at River Road. Route 4 East is down to one lane. Expect delays for the next few hours.
