Fatal Crash
On 05/31/2024, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Janesville Police and Janesville Fire were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Jackson St, just south of State Street. Officers located the vehicle in the terrace on the east side of the road, on its driver side.
The driver, a 42 year old male, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle due to vehicle speed leading up to the crash.
The victims name will be released at a later date by the Rock County Medical Examiner.
