Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug charges.
On May 30, at approximately 6:56 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1300 block of Lancaster Avenue, when they observed a wanted subject. Officers attempted to make contact with 26-year-old Aaron Rhoades, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, Rhoades was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of 2.4 grams of crack cocaine.
Rhoades has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $2,000 secured bail.
