CSX has notified the Town of Ashland that work will commence next week in downtown Ashland.

As a result, please note the following dates and locations of road closures:

• Tuesday, June 4th: East Side of Center Street from Ashcake Road to Patrick Street
• Wednesday, June 5th: West Side of Center Street from Ashcake Road to Patrick Street

On these dates, street parking will be prohibited. Residents will be granted access to their homes, but the streets will be closed to through traffic and detours will be in place. If you regularly park on Center Street in front of your home, please plan to move your vehicles either to a driveway or a side street ahead of the closure.

CSX has communicated to the Town that road closures will only be required for one day on each side, with some overnight work to speed up the process and reduce traffic impacts for Ashlanders.

Once the work is complete, CSX will clean up all large debris from the roadways and surrounding areas. To ensure the clean-up meets Town standards, Ashland's Public Works crews will do a second pass of the roadways with the street sweeper.
