Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM AKDT Tuesday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Yukon Flats from Fort Yukon north and east.

* TIMING...From 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM AKDT Tuesday.

* WINDS...Northeast 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 20 to 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...In the mid to upper 70s.

* IMPACTS...Winds at Graphite lake are already 15 mph gusting to 25 mph. This will continue through the afternoon with temperatures reaching 75 and RH dropping to as low as 20% beginning at 2 PM this afternoon. RH's will rebound around 8 PM as they rise into the 30% range, then continue rising through the night as winds decrease. Tomorrow, Red Flag conditions will return around 2 PM once again with temperatures in the upper 70s, northeast winds 15 to 20 mph and RH's near 25%. This will continue through about 9 PM then improve thereafter.

* AFFECTED AREAS: YUKON FLATS
