Flood Advisory until 08:45PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier and Summers.

* WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 546 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Hardy Run, Kitchen Creek, Lick Creek, Eagle Branch, Laurel Creek, Buggy Branch, Hungard Creek, Fisher Creek, Beech Run, Boggs Creek and Greenbrier River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lewisburg... Alderson... Sandstone... Lawn... Meadow Bluff... Glenray... Asbury... - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
