RFID Update

Dear Residents,
Thank you for trying to be patient and understanding on the Residential RFID gate lane issue.

We keep inventory for basic gate repairs and gate arm replacement for both lanes. Typically, when the gate arm is hit by a vehicle – we usually can simply reconnect it. After about four (4) hits we must replace it. These repairs are completed in a rather short amount of time without causing lengthy delays for our residents.

Unfortunately, sometimes when the gate arm is hit – it is hit in a manner that the control tower is damaged. Since the installation of the RFID system in 2019, this is the second time the control tower has been damaged. This is not something we repair in-house or have spare parts laying around for.

When someone hits the gate arm, they receive an administrative citation for $100 and an invoice for costs of repairs.

We would love to have additional personnel at the gate to assist with getting our resident’s home faster, however, if people drive through the gate arm, drive around our road closed barricades and regularly endanger our staff it is not a safe and practical solution to save everyone time. Our staff is doing what they can to expedite entrance to the valley. Residents can assist in this process by having their amenity cards ready before reaching the gate and have their visitors have their ID and pass ready before reaching the gate. If you do not have your amenities card, please put a gate pass in for yourself.

We are a beautiful community with beautiful people, and this is a time to work together and remind ourselves to enjoy the slower pace of life.
We have reached out to our vendor TEM Systems and some local contractors to help expedite the repair. Once we have the work scheduled we will send out another update.

Thank you everyone,
