Fairfield Police Department is hosting its 2nd Annual Police Youth Academy!

This is a FREE program for FSUSD, TUSD, and Fairfield Home School students who have an interest in Law Enforcement.

The Police Youth Academy is a fun, interactive learning experience designed to teach students about law enforcement.

This unique opportunity provides students with a greater understanding of the inner workings of the police department, as well as procedures, as taught by the Law Enforcement professionals themselves.

Students will spend a week gaining insight into the jobs offered through the Fairfield Police Department, the skill set needed to perform these jobs, and will have the opportunity to engage with their peers through team building skills, communication, and critical thinking exercises.

Registration for this year’s academy opens Friday, May 31 and closes Friday, June 21, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants should have strong moral values, a commitment to learn, an interest in a career in law enforcement, and uphold the mission and core values of the Fairfield Police Department.
Must be between the ages of 12 and 17 and Attend school in the FSUSD, TUSD, or be homeschooled in the City of Fairfield
Both Applicant and Parent must review the entire application and apply with a full understanding of what is required and expected.
Candidate must submit an essay on why they want to attend the Youth Academy and what they hope to learn.
