4th of July Parade

July 4, 2024 Celebration

Larkspur and Corte Madera will again be celebrating the Fourth of July with a Parade and Art Fair at the Corte Madera Town Park. We hope the following information of the day’s festivities will aid those coming to our area to join the celebration.

PARADE: The route will be the same as last year. The parade will start at 10:30 am from Redwood High School in Larkspur and precede W/B on Doherty Drive. It will then turn S/B on Magnolia Avenue to Corte Madera Avenue where it will turn E/B onto Redwood Avenue and then East on Tamalpais Drive to Madera Blvd. The parade will end a Tamalpais Drive and Madera Blvd. The Central Marin Police Department will close the streets starting at 10:00am for the parade. The streets will remain closed until the parade reaches its ending point at approximately 1:30 pm.

ROAD CLOSURES: After 10:00 am motorists will only be able to turn on Madera Blvd. from W/B Tamalpais Drive, or turn into the Corte Madera Town Center (south side) once the parade has started. If you wish to park in the shopping center, it is recommended you take the Madera Blvd. exit from 101 south, or the Paradise Drive exit from 101 northbound. Magnolia Ave. traffic southbound will be closed at Bon Air Road. Corte Madera Ave. traffic will be closed at the town limits for through traffic and at the intersection with Redwood Ave. for the parade. Traffic entering the area from the Lucky Drive will have to turn onto Tamal Vista Blvd., as the road will be closed at Lucky Drive and Fifer Ave.

Additionally, Pixley Ave. will be closed throughout the day. Access will be restricted to residents of Pixley and lower Redwood Ave. It will also be utilized for parking for arts and craft people (tennis court parking area).

GLASS CONTAINERS & ALCOHOL: Glass containers are banned from the Town Park. Alcohol being carried into the park by person is also limited by town ordinance. Alcohol violations associated with minors in possession, contributing and drunkenness will be strictly enforced.

There will be a high police presence to ensure a safe and fun Fourth of July for all who are in attendance.
