Activity for June 5, 2024:
- Officer Elston responded to the 200 block of West Franklin Street for a breaking and entering that just occurred. A 43-year-old male was arrested for home invasion and an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Albrecht was dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 1500 block of Cooper Street. A 43-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
- Officers responded to West Avenue and Wildwood Avenue for a carjacking. The victim was run over when the suspect fled in her vehicle, and she was transported to the hospital. The vehicle was entered into the national database as stolen.
- Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Columbus Street for a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was entered into the national database as stolen.
- Officers responded to the area of Wildwood Avenue and North Wisner Street for multiple hit and run accidents involving the same vehicle. The 28-year-old male driver received several citations for failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and was transported to the hospital. Once released from the hospital, he will be lodged at JSO for conditional bond violation.
- Officers were dispatched to the hospital for a stabbing victim. The victim is in stable condition and does not have any life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
- Officers responded to the 600 block of Webb Street for shots fired. Charges will be sought on a 44-year-old female and a 28-year-old female for reckless discharge. The 28-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
