WAYNE COUNTY TO BEGIN ROAD RESURFACING PROJECTS IN HURON TOWNSHIP ON JUNE 21

WAYNE COUNTY, MI – Wayne County Department of Public Services has announced the road resurfacing schedule and traffic plan for Sibley Road between Huron River Drive and I-275 Bridge within Huron Township. The projects are scheduled to begin on June 21, 2024, subject to weather conditions and unforeseen delays.
The paving schedule is as follows:

Friday, June 21, 2024
Sibley Road – Westbound deceleration lane between Huron River Drive and I-275 Bridge
• Traffic flow will alternate in both directions using stop-and-go operations.
• Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
• The exit ramp for southbound I-275 will be closed.
• Drivers are advised to find an alternative route.

Saturday, June 22, 2024
Sibley Road – Between Huron River Drive and Shook Road
• Traffic flow will alternate in both directions using stop-and-go operations.
• Flaggers will be positioned to direct traffic.

Monday, June 24, 2024
Sibley Road – Eastbound deceleration lane between Shook Road & I-275 Bridge
• Traffic flow will alternate in both directions using stop-and-go operations.
• Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
• The entrance ramp for southbound I-275 will be closed.
• Drivers are advised to find an alternative route.

• Traffic flow will alternate in both directions using stop-and-go operations.
• Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
